Bridge and access to Faro Beach

Overview

R5 , winner of the International Public Tender for the project of a new bridge and access to Faro Beach, in the aim of the program Polis Litoral Ria Formosa, developed the Project of this new Bridge and access, integrated in the Ria Natural Park Formosa. The pedestrian access was made by a wooden bridge walkway over the Formosa estuary connecting the new bridge to an outdoor car park for an extension of about 2km. In order to improve the flow of the lagoon, two hydraulic passages were made in the access road to the bridge that prevented the normal flow of water.
